Money Education Financial literacy ProfessionalsWhat to expect from the first meeting with an Investment Advisor
I often get asked what to expect from the first meeting with me as an investment advisor.
The truth is, it's always different, and it depends on why the person has scheduled a meeting with me. Sometimes the person has specific financial questions, and we spend time addressing those. Sometimes people want to meet with me because they are looking for a change from their current advisor. Some want a second opinion of their investment portfolio. Regardless of the reason for the meeting, these are the things that remain true about the first meeting:
1. It is centered around YOU. My main goal for this meeting is to get to know you. Most of my questions in this initial meeting are not about your finances, but about your personal life - your family, your hobbies, work, identifying your goals, etc.
2. There is absolutely no pressure, no decisions need to be made in this meeting. The purpose is to get to know each other and see if we might be compatible to work together.
3. I will explain my wealth management process, and what you can expect from me as an Investment Advisor.
4. I provide value in this meeting - whether it's answering your questions, providing advice, resources, a second opinion of your portfolio, or a referral.
5. There is no judgment, and you can rest assured everything you tell me is confidential.
6. There is no fee and no obligation.
I am currently accepting new clients. Are you ready to book a 'get to know each other' meeting? Meetings can be virtual or in person.
