Gary Tucker, FCSI
I had the pleasure of entering the financial services industry with CIBC Wood Gundy in January 1998. Prior to this period, I spent eight years in the garment industry in sales after completing my post secondary education. Under the tutorship of my father, I amassed valuable business experience serving major retail chains and independent business owners. The importance of excellent client service and product knowledge are two attributes I carried forward in making the transition to my career as an Investment Advisor.
In order to best serve my clients and position myself to attract new clients, I completed all the requirements, and achieved the designation of Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute (FCSI) in 2003. A program developed by the Canadian Securities Institute, the FCSI designation represents the highest standard of recognition for industry professionals by the institute. Mandatory continuing education programs ensure that when I meet with the public I am up to date on current products, services and methodologies. The knowledge that I gleaned from this curriculum of study has empowered me with the tools and processes necessary to understand financial goals and objectives on a one to one basis and to respond in kind with a clear and concise plan of action.
My typical client falls into one of two camps: those who strive to grow their financial asset base from which they can benefit upon retirement; and those who are on the precipice of retirement or are currently enjoying the fruits of their many years of labour and diligent planning. For clients looking for growth, I can assist in the development and implementation of a simple and easy to understand plan to help you save regularly and watch those savings compound over time. Conversely, I have a solid understanding of the social and economic ramifications that provide the backdrop for those embarking upon or are already a member of the retirement stage of the lifecycle. I will work to generate a monthly flow of income in order to meet your regular expenses and allow you the peace of mind to pursue other interests.
In addition to my role as an Investment Advisor, I am insurance licensed as a Financial Security Advisor. This enables me to address my clients' life insurance requirements whether for family protection, estate planning or income generation purposes. I work in tandem with an Estate Planning Specialist to ensure we cover all bases and shop the market for the best available options.
My role as an advisor carries with it many responsibilities on a day-to-day basis. In a nutshell, I position myself to be a point of reference to my clients in devising a clear process, which over time will go a long way to achieving individual milestones. However, the best advice can be materially insignificant if investors are not responsible to themselves and do not follow through with a well orchestrated investment game plan. My most mutually beneficial clients are those who understand that a successful outcome means that responsibility is a two-way street. If you are looking for an advisor who is committed to his clients' well being and you are willing and ready to assume responsibility for process, kindly contact me to schedule a consultation.
