Women using yoga to stay calm through stock market volatility.

How to stay calm through stock market volatility

With the rise in interest rates, stock market volatility, and global uncertainty, you may be wondering what you can do to stay calm.

Kendra Olsen of Integra Mortgage and I recently hosted a Money and Mindfulness event at the Sun Peaks Yoga studio, and we shared some of what we have learned through practicing yoga.

Yoga allows us to shift our focus in times of uncertainty and market volatility, remain calm, and remember what is important.

1. Balance - embrace the imperfect and pause, take a breath, and make small adjustments if needed.

2. Mindfulness - bring your awareness back to this moment and focus on the things you can control, let everything else go.

3. No judgement - Don’t worry about what others are doing, focus on your own path to success.

4. Consistency - Reaching goals requires discipline, celebrate the small wins along the way to help keep you motivated to continue.

5. Drishti - When you start to feel wobbly due to market volatility, use a point of focus, such as your long term goals to help you regain stability.

I hope that these concepts are helpful for you!

Get in touch with me if you need help navigating market volatility, to discuss your wealth plan, or get a second opinion of your investment portfolio.
