Michael completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Mining Engineering from McGill University in 1974 and an MBA from the University of Western Ontario in 1978. He received the Chartered Financial Analyst designation in 1983. Michael started off in the industry as a mining analyst in 1978 and has been an investment advisor with CIBC Wood Gundy since 1984.
