As a member of the Operations Group at The Schmidt Investment Group, Dylan’s responsibilities include regular documentation and audit compliance in accordance with the industry’s compliance standards. Dylan is further responsible for performance reporting, financial analysis and assisting and collaborating with the Advisory Group. Dylan will also serve as a point of contact for clients and managing the corporate calendar.

Dylan has been working in the industry for 2 years, specializing in relationship management, personal and business banking, credit and investment products and cash management services throughout his career.
Dylan believes the industry is built on client trust and confidence. The success of an investment practice group depends on core values of having a client focused business, transparency, professionalism and always showing appreciation for earned business.
Designations & Degrees
Dylan graduated from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Science degree majoring in Biological sciences and minoring in physical science. While in university Dylan tutored high school students in science and math. Dylan became interested in finance after his degree and completed the IFC course. The IFC course sparked an intellectual curiosity that he did not know he had. Eagerly Dylan completed CSC, CPH, PFSA courses and has plans to continue his education.
Starting out in retail banking, Dylan discovered early on his passion for investments. Dylan completed his CFA Level 1 in August 2021 above the 90th percentile and plans to complete Level 2 within 2022. After developing his skills within retail banking Dylan wanted to challenge himself in a role that was more specialized in the Private Wealth Management industry. Dylan plans to further develop himself to better serve clients by acquiring his Certified Financial Analyst (CFA), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), International Trust and Estate Practitioner designation (TEP) and Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA) designations. Dylan believes it is important to continue to learn and develop yourself in all aspects of life.
Accomplishments & Accolades
Dylan believes balance is an important aspect in life. Dylan was awarded the most outstanding graduate award in his high school, being recognized at a young age for having a strong balance between academic performance, athleticism, after-school curricular activities, volunteering and family time.
Outside the Office
Outside of the office Dylan loves to spend his time exercising and eating healthy. Dylan also likes to exercise his brain through reading non-fiction personal development books. In the summer you can catch Dylan cycling through the Edmonton surrounding golf courses. In the evening Dylan can be seen sitting by a fire playing cards or board games. Dylan has plans to travel across the world to learn more about different cultures and traditions.
