Tony Mais has 40 years experience in the investment business. He opened the CIBC Wood Gundy Fredericton Branch in 1992, and built the Branch successfully over 30 years. The branch now employs 27 people and manages over $2 Billion in client assets. Tony holds a B.Sc. from the University of Ottawa, as well as many Investment Industry accreditations.
After 30 years at the helm, Tony stepped down recently as Manager. He continues to play an active role within the Mais Reynolds Financial Group, working closely with clients & staff. Tony has always been active in community matters and philanthropy. He has been a volunteer Director for many organizations, and is currently Vice-Chair of the Huntsman Marine Science Centre. Tony and his wife Lori have two daughters and a son.
Bill Reynolds, CFA, B.Comm.

Bill Reynolds joined Tony in 1992 when CIBC Wood Gundy's Fredericton Branch was launched and they have worked closely together ever since. Bill is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), and also holds a B.Comm. from Mt. Allison University. Bill is focused on comprehensive wealth management for families and endowment funds. His qualifications and service commitment are perfectly suited to affluent investors.
Bev Steeves, MBA
Associate Investment Advisor
Bev brings with her over 18 years of leadership, practice management and banking experience. Bev started her career in retail banking as a Branch Manager, District Vice President and joined the Mais Reynolds Financial Group in February 2022.
Bev, along with the Mais Reynolds team, align themselves with strategic partners to offer a full holistic professional experience and service to clients.
Outside of work, Bev and her husband Adam, along with their three children enjoy basketball, hockey, baseball and golf, when she isn't playing, she is coaching and is an active member in the community.
Bev, a Masters of Business graduate with a specialization in leadership from Dalhousie University is working towards her CFP accreditation.
Karen Robertson, B.B.A.
Client Associate
Karen has worked with Tony Mais and Bill Reynolds for 30 years - since the inception of the Fredericton Branch. She holds a BBA from the University of New Brunswick, and is a CIRO registrant currently performing a Client Associate role. She is dedicated to providing clients with the highest level of customer service. For decades our clients have counted on Karen for prompt, reliable service. She is a lead contact on tax related queries and works closely with clients and their accountants . Karen and her husband, Ian have a daughter and a son.
Debbie Sherstenka, B.B.A.
Client Associate
Debbie joined CIBC Wood Gundy in 1996 and has been working with the team since 2003. Debbie is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) and holds a BBA from the University of New Brunswick. She is focused everyday on client service. Debbie is also responsible for the customized reporting we prepare for endowment funds and affluent clients. Debbie and her husband Dan have a daughter and a son.
Brett Barnhill, CPA
Associate Investment Advisor
Brett joined the Mais Reynolds Team in February 2021. Prior to joining the Mais Reynolds Financial Group, he spent five years at a local accounting firm where he earned his Chartered Professional Accountant designation and provided a range of clients with audit and tax services.
Brett draws on his tax knowledge to create tailored financial planning solutions for our clients, no matter the situation. Tax-efficiency is key and so is peace of mind. Setting out a proper financial roadmap helps create that peace of mind for our clients, knowing that someone is always looking out for their financial well-being.
Outside the office, Brett can be found on the golf course in the summer and in the local hockey rinks or bowling alleys through the winter months. He also enjoys spending time with his wife, Natalie, and their golden retriever, Wesley, at their family cottage on the Washademoak Lake.

In addition to his sales and management roles, he also brings experience from the actuarial side of the desk. This perspective allows him to have a deeper understanding in dealing with insurance needs. Bruce brings with him a strong analytical and mathematical background, having earned his MSc. in Mathematics from Dalhousie University.
