CIBC employees play a significant role in making the Canadian Cancer Society CIBC Run for the Cure one of the country’s most successful and respected volunteer-led fundraising events. Our employee volunteers rally colleagues, clients, family and friends to run, walk, fundraise and volunteer to support a cause that’s close to our hearts.

On December 6th, we’re celebrating CIBC Miracle Day. Since 1984, CIBC Miracle Day has raised over $272M for children's charities.

The Calgary Branch is committed to supporting causes that matter to our clients, our employees and Calgary. We aim to make a difference in our community through corporate donations, sponsorship and the volunteer spirit of employees.

Our Community Investment strategy is focused on the three strategic pillars of Kids, Cures and Community. Our Sponsorship focus is on Cures, Culture, Sport and the celebration of Business excellence

Miracle Day

December 4, 2024
CIBC Miracle Day is an employee-driven fundraiser that started at a Wood Gundy branch in 1984. On the first Wednesday of December each year, participating CIBC Wood Gundy Investment Advisors and CIBC's Capital Markets team donate their fees and commissions to help children's charities across Canada who make miracles happen in our communities every day.

In the last 5 years, the Calgary branch has raised over $2 million for local children's charities.

CIBC Run for the Cure

The Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation CIBC Run for the Cure is Canada's largest single day, volunteer-led fundraising event dedicated to raising funds for breast cancer research, and education and awareness programs. Since 1997, CIBC employees have raised more than $36 million in support of the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation. We invite you, your family and your friends to join us at the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation CIBC Run for the Cure in your community each year in October.
