DEREK JAMES, CFA - PORTFOLIO MANAGER & SENIOR WEALTH ADVISOR

 

Derek received a B.Comm. (Finance) from the University of British Columbia in 2002 and proceeded to work for one of Canada's premier hedge fund companies in Toronto.  He moved back to Vancouver in 2005 and a year later formed the James Financial Group at CIBC Wood Gundy with his father Rob James (retired 2012).  In 2007 Derek was awarded the CFA charter and was licensed as a discretionary Portfolio Manager.  Derek is now licensed in BC, Alberta, and Ontario for insurance and all types of investments.

 

Derek lives in North Vancouver with his wife and 2 sons where they enjoy skiing, biking, playing soccer and watching movies together.

 

 

 

BETH WATT, FCSI - FINANCIAL ASSOCIATE

 

Beth began her career in the financial services industry in 1987 and joined CIBC Wood Gundy in 1995. Her extensive knowledge, administrative expertise and ongoing commitment to a high level of service have proven to be an invaluable asset to the continuous success and longevity of the Group's business. Over the years Beth has held multiple designations including Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute (FCSI).
