Gordon grew up in a small, close knit community in Newfoundland, where family came first and honesty, integrity and helping your neighbor was cultural bedrock. But his curiosity about the world and sense of adventure had him moving on. His interest in science and mathematics, along with a fascination with the stock market led him to an engineering degree and soon after, a masters degree in finance. Recruited by a major multi-national corporation, Gordon landed in Vancouver and then Calgary in various analyst and management roles, and provided the opportunity to travel the world. Along the way, marriage and parenthood brought Gordon and his family back to the Maritimes, and a new career as a financial advisor with CIBC Wood Gundy in 1997, fulfilling a lifelong goal to run his own business, just as his father had. Years of hard work, a sincere desire to help others, and a commitment to lifelong learning has brought Gordon to the top of his profession. Doing what he loves, helping his clients achieve all their dreams, being immersed in the financial markets every day, and satisfying his endless curiosity about how it all works, has kept Gordon engaged and looking forward to each new day, building his team and providing his best insights in new ways to benefit each client. 

Gordon holds a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, an MBA (Finance) degree, is a Certified Investment Manager ( CIM®) and in 2002 was granted the Canadian Securities Institute's highest honor, Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute (FCSI).
