A little bit about me and my business...
Josephine Gonzales: Empathy is the basis of everything I do, the decisions I make on a daily basis have a real impact on someone's life. If I fail to understand that this money means something to someone I care about, then I am failing my clients consideration and empathy is key. My name is Josephine Gonzales and I am a wealth advisor. My introduction into finance really began in childhood. I grew up in an immigrant working class family and although the topic of money was never discussed, there always was a negative connotation around it. That really piqued my interest and curiosity to know more about it. It honed my focus in post-secondary education and every job I took on after that. As soon as I entered the wealth management industry, I realized how dynamic and truly layered it was. I met some of the most interesting people and clients and colleagues, and it taught me the value of having a really good work ethic, living a full life and using wealth as a tool to do all of that. Being a woman in this industry is empowering. I'm honored to be part of the group of women who are adding to the conglomerate voice the perspective. There are a ton of female clients out there whom we represent and we know on a deeper level.
So I'm honored to be the voice for that. Being an investor means you have to feel some pain in order to really grow and flourish in the craft. To me, that means riding the wave of things that you can't necessarily control, having a good long term plan, having a strategy and tactically adjusting as needed. Building relationships with my clients is of utmost importance. It is the foundation of my business. It's the foundation of everything we're going to do together. We need to be on the same page of what our goals are for your wealth and how we're going to achieve that. I truly want my clients to experience their wealth in a way that is authentic and meaningful to them. If I were to say one thing about wealth to the younger generation, it would be to be patient. We grew up in a society where instant gratification is the norm. Good things take time, live within your means, have a good long term strategy, take information from reputable sources and implement it. Tune out the day to day noise and stay the course. I truly want to be good at what I do and do it with good character and intent. My actions are and will always be rooted in results, integrity and compassion.
