Winding Ways Quilt
Made by Deborah Foster
In May of this year, my sister and I planned and hosted a Coronation Brunch to mark King Charles III's ascension to the throne. We researched the recipes provided by the palace. In the end we used our own family favourite for the quiche but did use Buckingham Palace’s favourite tea cake recipe, "Early Grey Tea Cake.” Guests arrived wearing hats, fascinators and tiaras. Place cards with British titles were created for seating. -FK and DF
Jeff and Terri-Lynn indulged Owen and Avery with a trip to Greece this past May (the kids first trip to Europe).
What you see in these pictures perfectly depicts our family experience during our island hopping adventure; laughter, closeness, beautiful skies and magnificent scenery.
D&Y recently returned from an amazing first time holiday in Barbados. We shied away from resorts and opted for a beach front Villa (https://villamilord.com/), with two other couples, in St James parish. Central to everything, with a wonderful lady preparing local meals, we were within a nice walk or at most an interesting public transit ride to almost anywhere on the island. Visiting the world's oldest rum distillery, churches built back in the 1600's, beaches, boating, Oistins fish market, we had a great time! Be sure to book Ted's tours if you go. A 8-9 hour full island tour with lots of very funny anecdotes and at major stops along the way some great rum punch and beer for the passengers!
Our client JC made this double-bed sized quilt in the colours of the Ukrainian flag and donated it to a local Ukranian-Canadian group to provide both tangible and emotional comfort to Ukrainian refugees here in Canada.
Les and his wife Janice spent some time in Puerto Rico and St. Thomas this January. Here they are enjoying some sun on the beach!
Brooke traveled overseas to Val Thorens, France and spent a week skiing in the Alps. She skied every day she was there and had such a great time!
