Our Involvement and Philanthropy

Our team are active and committed members of the community. Our efforts have touched the lives of children and youth, families, individuals and seniors in the Northumberland County and the surrounding areas. As board members for several not for profit organizations, we have made it possible for our community to have facilities, programs and services that support local health, social and recreational needs. Here are some of the many organizations we are proud to support.

 

Ed's House Northumberland Hospice Centre

Our Hospice Services program works collaboratively to provide clinical and nonclinical care in the community to patients with a life limiting illness and to their caregivers. It is a consistent point of support across care settings from the point of diagnosis to ongoing support to family, friends and caregivers.

Rotary Club of Cobourg

Every Canada Day Weekend Cobourg Rotary welcomes you to the Cobourg Waterfront Festival and to the Rotary Club's Arts & Crafts Show. Located overlooking Cobourg's Yacht Club and harbor, the Arts & Crafts Show is one of the largest and most well respected shows of its kind in Canada. Their crafters offer unique products at reasonable prices. The ‘shopping ambiance' is exciting, interesting and fun reminiscent of medieval open air markets but under tents and well served by supportive Rotarians and the modern conveniences of the information age.

Cobourg Community Centre

Imagine groups of people - young and old, business people, artists and athletes sharing their enthusiasm, knowledge and friendship under one roof. Imagine a united community discovering new interests and hobbies and in turn, discovering more about themselves. Gord and his wife Patti have been actively involved in the Cobourg Community Centre as Co-Chairs fo the CCC Fundraising Committee.

Northumberland United Way

Northumberland United Way is committed to building a strong and healthy community for all. The role of United Way is to match the resources of the community (the fundraising campaign) to those areas of greatest need. United Way agencies respond to health and social service issues in our community. The Ley Investment Group supports and volunteers for the United Way and it's member agencies.
