Carlos has been in the financial industry since 1992, beginning his career with a leading bank where he held a management role in several branches. From there, he went onto currency trading where he structured foreign currency options/forward contracts and spot transactions for that bank's largest corporate clients. In 1997, Carlos accepted a position at a leading brokerage firm and began his career as an Investment Advisor. Carlos moved to CIBC Wood Gundy in 2002 in order to continue on with his Investment Management career. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of Manitoba, is Options and Commodities registered and holds his Manitoba, Ontario, and Saskatchewan Insurance Licenses. When not in the office, Carlos enjoys spending much of his time with his two children, Lucas and Nicholas.

Shannon has been in the financial services industry since 1997. She currently holds the Portfolio Manager designation and works with Carlos to provide discretionary investment management services that allow our clients to have as much, or as little, involvement in the day-to-day operations of their portfolio as they wish. Her extensive knowledge in all areas of concern to our clients helps provide our clients piece of mind.

Mariz has been in the financial services industry since 2014. She has worked with a variety of clients, from individuals to businesses, assisting them with their day-to-day needs. She believes in working closely with Carlos and Shannon to deliver consistently great client experiences.

Outside of work, Mariz enjoys traveling, running, singing, eating good food, and participating in a variety of community events.

Emma is currently attending the Asper School of Business at the University of Manitoba and plans to graduate with her Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting come Spring 2025. She's working towards pursuing the CPA Certification in the near future. She joined the Machado Advisory Group in Fall of 2022.

In Emma's early years she was surrounded by music and dance. She is a former competitive dancer and is currently still training in various styles in her free time. Throughout her dance career, she has learned the fundamental qualities of discipline, teamwork, and accountability. These traits carry into her work-ethic as she is a precise and detail-oriented individual who always makes sure she is putting out the best work possible to clients.

Iryna joined CIBC Wood Gundy as an Administrative Assistant in 2024. She moved from Ukraine where she was born and grew up, having started her career in the financial services industry. Iryna has experience in client service, retail banking, international settlements and compliance.

She hold a Master’s degree in economics and is currently enrolled in the Canadian Securities Course at the Canadian Securities Institute. In her current role, she is passionate about providing exceptional administrative services to the clients.

Outside of work, Iryna enjoys active leisure activities, including swimming, outdoor running and reading.
