Our Investment Philosophy

The psychological aspect of investing, for example greed and fear, is much more difficult to come to terms with than is the math behind investing. Market corrections are an inevitable part of investing; having the patience and fortitude to remain invested through such periods is a necessary requirement to acheiving decent returns over the longer term. It is easier to have patience with an investment if one has a solid understanding of the business's economic fundamentals, a management team that has invested their own money in the company and has displayed benevolence toward public shareholders, and the business has clear opportunities for growth in the future.
