CIBC is actively involved in their local communities and across Canada organizing many large events for charity including the CIBC Miracle Day and CIBC Run for a Cure. Along with participating in CIBC's charities and sponsorships Sheri and Bailee are actively involved in the Prince George community.
Through her passion for animals Sheri is actively involved in the dog community in Prince George, participating as the Top Dog President in 2012. Sheri puts plenty of time and effort into volunteering for the Prince George Humane Society, and raising funds to assist the shelter in caring for the animals. Two of Sheri's dogs Reggie and Ted are certified St John's Ambulance therapy dogs. Weekly visits are made to the Kordyban Cancer ward at the University Hospital of Northern British Columbia. Visiting with these cancer patients always brightens their day. Reggie and Ted are also certified to work with children in Prince George and visit local elementary students. While interacting with the students Sheri and Reggie participate in the student literacy program and teach the children at Ron Brent and other elementary schools how to safely interact with animals. Sheri has been a member of the Prince George Rotary Club for over 14 years and is actively involved in their programs which assist the community in various ways. She has been involved with activities such as the School Christmas program, Adventures in Forestry, the Student Literacy Program and many more. Sheri has sponsored many local youth sporting teams and organizations over the years. She is an active fundraiser for the Canadian Diabetes Association.
Bailee is also actively involved with the community and enjoys giving back. She has been an active member of the Kiwanis Club of Prince George since 2015, sitting on various boards in the group. Through Kiwanis she has volunteered for many local organizations including St. Vincent De Paul, Salvation Army kettle campaign, Raise a Reader and Community Arts Council events. She is the lead for Kiwanis Alefest a responsible beer tasting event held at the Two Rivers Art Gallery every January. In 2019 the event raised over $60,000 for children's charities in Northern BC. She has been an active volunteer and coach for the UNBC JDC West team. Bailee also enjoys volunteering for the Prince George Humane Society.
Whether it is donating time or money Sheri and Bailee pride themselves in making a difference in the local community of Prince George.
