Tom has developed a personal philanthropic pursuit of supporting our at risk youth and promoting University Athletes into leaders of tomorrow. The Boys' and Girls' Clubs Big Brothers Big Sisters organization supports Edmonton's youth with after school and mentoring programs. Football is an incredible team sport requiring dedication, commitment and strong working relationships, which produce outstanding leaders of our future.

Tom has been active in the Edmonton Community for decades, committing to sitting on various Boards and volunteering at one day events such as giving blood and serving soup at the Operation Friendship Senior's Society in Edmonton.

Boys & Girls Clubs Big Brothers Big Sisters is a community-supported organization committed to the healthy development of children, youth and their families, by providing safe places, positive relationships, services and opportunities to develop personal strengths and interpersonal skills that enhance their long-term success in life. In 2016, Tom was a recipient of a Distinguished Merit Award, celebrating 25 years of support to the Boys' & Girls' Clubs Big Brothers Big Sisters organization.
