Eric is a Chartered Professional Accountant, Certified Management Accountant, and Chartered Investment Manager, who completed his Bachelor of Arts with Honors in Economics at Queen's University.
Committed to taking a personal interest in the lives of his clients, Eric offers very pointed, focused and valuable advice, always considering the client's priorities. By really getting to know them, Eric can identify exactly how to help them achieve their goals, grow their capital, find peace of mind, and make decisions that can positively affect their lives.
As a Portfolio Manager, Eric provides discretionary investment management services that allow our clients to have as much, or as little, involvement in the day-to-day operations of their portfolio as they wish.
Outside the office, Eric enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter, traveling, and golfing.
Maxine Grant, FCSI, CIM®
Associate Investment Advisor
Maxine's priority is to fill in the gaps to ensure that each client receives the tailor-made solutions that they are looking for. Maxine's skill is clarifying the details; she focuses on helping clients articulate what is truly important to them so that we can be sure to offer them relevant and detailed advice.
Maxine began her career in the Financial Industry in 1990 and joined CIBC Wood Gundy in 2000. She is a member of the Fellowship of the Canadian Securities Institute and has completed the Derivatives Fundamentals & Options Licensing course and the LLQP Insurance course.
Away from the office, Maxine likes to spend time on the golf course and traveling.
Leslie Evans
Client Associate
Leslie’s primary role is client service and administration, though she is the team’s “go-to” for just about everything.
Originally from Halifax, Nova Scotia, Leslie holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Dalhousie University. She began her career at CIBC with Retail Banking in 2011, where she built a strong foundation in financial services before moving to CIBC Wood Gundy in 2016. In 2019, Leslie relocated to Calgary, joining the Bedford Financial Group in 2021, where she has leveraged her expertise to enhance client service and financial strategies.
Outside of work, Leslie enjoys travelling to new countries, practicing and teaching yoga, cheering on her favorite football and gymnastics teams, attending concerts, and exploring the mountains nearby.
Michael McLeod, CIM®
Associate Investment Advisor
Michael brings a diverse background in detail-focused execution from client service environments to CIBC Wood Gundy. Starting as client Associate in 2014 and becoming industry registered as a registered representative in 2016. He believes there are many potential paths to achieving your financial goals, and prides himself on flexibility and fairness to deliver an exceptional level of service tailored to his client needs.
Michael has developed a comprehensive approach that enables clients to focus on the things that really matter to them. He is approachable, dedicated and down-to-earth, and communicates in language that is easy to understand. He believes there is always common ground from which meaningful results can be nurtured.
When away from his desk, Michael enjoys spending as much time as possible with his wife and daughter. Otherwise, you can find him running, playing music, watching basketball or trying to correct his golf slice.
Branden Stewart, CIM®
Associate Investment Advisor
Branden began his career in the Financial Industry in 2010 in an advisory role for retail banking clients and joined CIBC Wood Gundy in 2014.
Branden has obtained the Chartered Investment Manager (CIM®) designation to provide additional investment and administrative support to the advisory team as they help clients pursue their financial goals. Branden understands how important it is to maintain consistency and quality in all client interactions. He takes the time to understand clients evolving needs to provide them with relevant advisory and timely administrative support.
Away from the office, Branden enjoys spending time with his wife hosting friends and family for gatherings, travelling and the occasional round of golf.
Colt Hoey, CIM®
Client Associate
Colt provides strategic support on investment management, financial planning, and portfolio reviews. He has his Chartered Investment Manager designation with a keen interest in markets, always seeking out innovative solutions for clients’ unique needs.
Colt holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from the University of Victoria, and previously worked as both an actuarial analyst and retail banker while living on the west coast. In 2022, Colt moved back to his hometown of Calgary to join the CIBC Private Wealth team, leveraging his background in personal banking, pension & benefits consulting, and statistical analysis to help offer clients tailored financial advice.
Outside the office, you’ll usually find Colt with a golf club or a guitar in his hands. Otherwise, he’s out enjoying Calgary’s many walking paths and trails with his wife… unless there’s a hockey game to watch!
Megan Pearce
Administrative Assistant
A recent addition to the team, Megan provides client service, administrative, and account management support to the team, as she completes her industry registrant requirements.
Megan graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting from MacEwan University. While finishing up her degree, Megan began with CIBC in retail banking where she continued working for almost 3 years. In 2024, Megan joined Wood Gundy bringing her expertise of personal banking to the team.
Away from the office, Megan enjoys walking her dog, baking, and escaping to the mountains to hike. She also enjoys trying out new restaurants around the city and spending time at the lake in the summer.
