"At our last meeting, Deborah and I talked about how important it is to have a real person to work with, as opposed to a so called "robo-investor"…the most important thing is that with a real person we get to have a dialogue. That means that you get to hear our concerns, and we get to hear your ideas, and together we come up with a good path forward. That's a basic human interaction and it feels pretty good and works really well. Over the years we have gotten to know each other so that our financial plan is totally custom made to fit our needs. For sure, if we were working alone with our computer, we would be lost. And since actions speak louder than words, we are happy to pay for the return trip from Ottawa to Toronto on the train, and a couple of nights in a hotel, to see you, and we look forward to seeing you again next year. One other thing that keeps us coming back to see a real person is your clearly excellent working relationship with your assistant, Jennifer, so that we have two great minds working for us. Feel free to share these thoughts with anyone, and thank you. We feel that we are very lucky to have you and Jennifer working for us."
