STATEMENT OF PHILOSOPHY
- Our relationship with our clients starts with the development of a comprehensive financial strategy that custom fits their goals and investment style. As part of this process, we cover the investment, retirement, insurance, tax and estate planning aspects of each family situation.
- We strive to serve as our clients' primary investment advisor. As part of this role we work closely with outside professionals such as tax accountants and estate lawyers. We also tap into our own network of professional advisors, as well as utilizing professionals within CIBC Wood Gundy.
- Our investment philosophy is essentially conservative in nature. Within each client's risk profile, portfolios are structured that will achieve long-term objectives (as it pertains to capital preservation, growth, liquidity, tax and income requirements).
- Tax minimization is important for most clients. Strategies such as income splitting, prudent use of leverage, family trusts, and holding companies are considered.
- Each client's account is monitored on an ongoing basis to take advantage of opportunities created by changing circumstances, both personal and in the market place.
- All clients receive a regular portfolio and performance review. In addition, each plan is reviewed annually and appropriate adjustments are made.
- We make ourselves as accessible as possible to clients. All telephone calls, emails, and correspondence are dealt with the same business day, by a member of the team.
- We believe that our best clients are the ones who are fully informed. As a result, we have a strong commitment to client communication through regular emails, phone-calls, quarterly newsletters, monthly market reviews, articles of interest and information sessions.
