Canadian Cancer Society CIBC Run for the Cure

CIBC employees play a significant role in making the Canadian Cancer Society CIBC Run for the Cure one of the country’s most successful and respected volunteer-led fundraising events. Our employee volunteers rally colleagues, clients, family and friends to run, walk, fundraise and volunteer to support a cause that’s close to our hearts.

SPECIAL OLYMPICS ONTARIO/LONDON

Personally, Brenda has been involved with Special Olympics Ontario/London since 2011. Special Olympics Ontario/London is dedicated to enriching the lives of individuals with an intellectual disability, through sport.

She currently manages and coaches two basketball teams, and in the past been involved with both outdoor soccer and baseball. She is an active participant in all of their ongoing fundraising and social events.

COMMUNITY LIVING LONDON

Brenda has recently joined the Board of Directors at Community Living London, and sits on the committee that facilitates their two major fundraising events each year, The Seriously Fun Run (September) and Night of Heroes (February).

Community Living London is a registered charity dedicated to supporting people with developmental disabilities to live fulfilled lives.

100 WOMEN WHO CARE

This unique group brings together the women of London to educate themselves about the non-profit organizations within London and surrounding area. Every quarter, over 200 women gather and have the opportunity to learn about three of the nominated charities which are drawn by lottery. Voting is done by the members present and the "winning" charity receives a $100 donation from each member. It allows members to become more involved in their community, with 100% of the contributions going directly to the charity!
