Canadian Cancer Society CIBC Run for the Cure

CIBC employees play a significant role in making the Canadian Cancer Society CIBC Run for the Cure one of the country’s most successful and respected volunteer-led fundraising events. Our employee volunteers rally colleagues, clients, family and friends to run, walk, fundraise and volunteer to support a cause that’s close to our hearts.

The Centre for Child Development

The Centre for Child Development has been providing services for 62 years in the community of Surrey, and currently supports 2,700 children with special needs. Their mission is to help children with special needs meet their full potential. Sandra was first introduced to The Centre for Child Development through a colleague at CIBC. Sandra and Rachel are proud to serve as board members, and to be part of such a great organization. 

Board Membership

Sandra was previously the Vice-Chair of the Child Development Foundation of British Columbia, and currently is a member of the governance board for The Centre for Child Development.

Rachel is an honourary board member of the Child Development Foundation of British Columbia.

Run Walk and Roll

Our CIBC Wood Gundy team has been awarded top Fundraising Corporate Team the past five years in the annual Run, Walk or Roll!  Sandra and Rachel have been actively involved in raising funds for the kids at the Centre for Child Development, supported by the Child Development Foundation of British Columbia.

Dine to Make a Difference

Over the past three years Rachel has hosted a community event at The Washington Avenue Grill, benefiting The Centre for Child Development. This event has helped raise awareness in the community of the services that The Centre for Child Development provides, as well as over $45,000!
