Howard Anderson, FCPA, FCA
Investment Advisor
Howard began his career in the investment industry in 1987 in Halifax, N.S. and moved to New Glasgow, N.S. in 1993. Prior to entering the business, he earned his Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation in 1984 with Touche Ross & Co. and was subsequently awarded his fellow of the CA (FCPA) in 2014.
Howard uses his investment insights and experience to look after the investment and estate planning needs of his clients. He tailors his clients portfolios according to their individual needs, risk parameters and tax situations using a combination of individual equities, bonds, and ETFs.
Howard is very active in his community. He has served on many boards, including Chair of the Highland Community Residential Services, The Mental Health Foundation of Nova Scotia, Pictou County Chamber of Commerce, and the Weeks Hockey Organization.
Howard has contributed and raised funds for many charities in the community, including the Pictou County Wellness Centre, William M. Sobey Indoor Soccer Complex, Summer Street Industries, and the Westside Community Center.
Matthew W. Martin, CPA
Investment Advisor
Matthew works as an Investment Advisor in New Glasgow, NS. He offers a holistic approach - which involves gaining a deep understanding of his clients and their goals, risk tolerance and cash flow requirements. He works to tailor client portfolios according to their individual needs and objectives in a tax efficient manner.
His previous work experience includes seven years working at a public accounting firm in Halifax, NS where he was responsible for monitoring client compliance and advising clients on many different aspects of their business, including financial accounting and tax planning. Matthew obtained his Chartered Professional Accounting designation in 2017.
Matthew settled in the community five years ago and has been an active member of the New Glasgow Kinsmen Club. He has been the treasurer for four years and has run many fundraisers and community projects with the club.
Tessa MacMillan

Tessa works closely with Matthew analyzing and creating detailed financial plans for clients. She is committed to understanding her clients to provide a high level of advice and service. Tessa has a passion for helping families and business owners reach their personal and financial goals. Her approach is to nurture strong relationships to give confidence and peace of mind. Tessa has been with CIBC Wood Gundy over twelve years and holds a diploma in Wealth Management and various credentials from the Canadian Securities Institute including the Derivative Fundamentals and Options Licensing Course.
Tessa was born and raised in Stellarton and is currently raising her own family in the community. We as a team take pride in helping our community thrive and take part in many local events.
