Canadian Income
The Canadian Income portfolio is for income-oriented investors with a medium risk tolerance. The portfolio focuses on selecting stocks and income trusts with high yields and low price betas. There is also focus on upward earnings revisions as well as quarter-over-quarter earnings momentum.
Canadian Growth
The Canadian Growth portfolio is designed for medium to long term investors with a medium risk tolerance. The strategy looks for stocks with good earnings value whose book values are growing but exhibit low levels of earnings variability. Secondary importance is placed on low price to book ratios along with earnings surprises and quarterly earnings momentum.
US Income
The US Income portfolio focuses on selecting stocks with high yields and low price betas. There is also focus on upward earnings revisions as well as quarter-over-quarter earnings momentum.
US Growth
The US Growth portfolio looks for stocks with solid earnings value, whose book values are growing but exhibit low levels of earnings variability. Secondary importance is placed on low price to book ratios along with earnings surprises and quarterly earnings momentum.
Diversified Equity
The Diversified Equity portfolio holds approximately 60 positions. It seeks to provide diversification with respect to geographic region, industry classification and investment style. The portfolio uses a combination of quantitative and fundamental factors to screen and select individual equity positions within North American markets. The portfolio also uses Exchange-Traded Funds (ETFs) to gain exposure to International markets which show high relative strength.
North American Balanced
The North American Balanced portfolio is a medium risk portfolio that provides diversification across asset class, geographic region and management style. The portfolio is primarily invested in North American equities and Fixed Income securities. The portfolio also uses ETFs to gain exposure to international markets which show high relative strength within that category.
Global ETF Asset Allocation
The Global ETF Asset Allocation portfolio is designed for investors seeking long-term growth and reduced volatility through tactical asset allocation. This portfolio allows for broad diversification through asset class, sector, currency, market capitalization and geographic location.
Security Selection
The Bell Financial Group employs multi-disciplined, active, bottom up, quantitative, fundamental and technical analysis.
Both the quantitative and fundamental analysis are performed by proprietary software and has been successfully trading since 2002. The fundamental analysis filters common equities for specific characteristics dependent on the portfolio's objectives.
The technical analysis is a relative-strength filter that ranks common equities and ETFs based on their market price movements versus their peers.
