Moe Johnson, CIM
A graduate of The Ivey School of Business at Western University, Moe Johnson holds an honours degree in Business, concentrating in Finance. He began with Wood Gundy in Toronto in 1974, and has worked on behalf of clients in his Kingston office since 1980. He adheres to a principle of meeting client objectives with high quality, well-researched investments. After over 15 years of research Moe has published his book, “The Potters Reach”, thoroughly covering 19th century Ontario utilitarian pottery.
Ryan Johnston, CFA
Ryan has been advising affluent families, institutions and charitable groups since 2008. Working with Moe and Glen, he is responsible for the research and investment of client assets, the cornerstone of which is the assurance that every investment portfolio is tailored to meet each client's unique objectives. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree concentrating in Finance from the Telfer School of Management at the University of Ottawa, as well as the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation. When not at the office, he enjoys spending quality time with his wife Larissa and their three kids Colton, Cameron and Briar and in his spare time tries to live an active lifestyle running, cycling and skiing.
Glen Johnson, CFA
A finance major and graduate from McGill University, Glen Johnson also holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation. From the Toronto office, Glen works closely with Moe and Ryan on research, and conducts ongoing portfolio reviews with clients. After receiving the quintessential book on value investing from his father over 15 years ago, ‘The Intelligent Investor' ignited Glen's interest and an eventual career in investing was inevitable. Outside of the office, Glen enjoys friendly matches of golf, ping pong and euchre with his frequently victorious wife, Kamini.
Linda Wilson
Linda Wilson is a graduate of Queen's University with a BA in Economics and has been working in the investment industry for over 25 years, joining the JJM Investment Group in September 2013. Linda's primary responsibilities include client correspondence, administration of client accounts, cash balance management and the preparation of institutional quarterly reports. A lifelong resident of Kingston, Linda enjoys traveling to new places both within Canada and further afield. Closer to home, she enjoys taking advantage of the many hiking and cycling trails in the area.
Cole Desgagnes
Cole Desgagnes is a graduate of the Telfer School of Management at the University of Ottawa and holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree with honours specializing in Finance. Working closely with Moe, Ryan and Glen, Cole supports the team by facilitating client interactions, assisting with the analysis of portfolios and holdings, and providing financial planning. Cole joined the JJM Investment Group in June 2019. Prior to joining the team, he was an investment advisor, both independently and with another Canadian bank. Outside of work, Cole is a devoted weightlifter and can be found at the local GoodLife gym, or in the summer months, enjoying his time on the water.
Sophie Cooke
Born and raised in Toronto, Sophie moved from her hometown in 2019 to attend Queen’s University in Kingston. She has since achieved a BAH in Global Development Studies degree, allowing her to further her interests in social, financial, and environmental sustainability. With years of experience in customer service, Sophie is eager to work closely with clients to assist with administrative needs. She will also be working alongside with Moe, Ryan, and Glen on financial research as well as the Environment, Social, and Governance updates. Outside of the office, Sophie enjoys spending time with friends and being active outside, specifically up at her family cottage in Pointe au Baril.
