"Philosophy" is defined as "a particular system of thought." The key word there is system. By applying a system to investing, we can better ensure that details aren't missed, steps aren't skipped, and that we remain organized and consistent in our efforts to help you reach your financial goals.
Our Investment Philosophy stems from these two facts:
1. Our clients are looking to both grow their money and preserve their money.
2. In order to do that, we must maximize their investment gains and also minimize potential losses.
To accomplish this, we do the following:
1. Assess the financial strength and management competence of different companies in order to determine how valuable those companies are.
2. Find companies trading at a price well-below what we believe their value to be.
3. Find companies with strong balance sheets that also pay out regular dividends to their shareholders, and that tend to withstand market downturns better than most.
4. Build your portfolio based on companies that meet these criteria. This will help us grow your money.
5. During times where fewer companies meet these criteria, we will recommend moving more of your portfolio into cash. This will help us preserve your money.
