Our Gratitude Journal, 2022
It has been a year full of turmoil so, when we reflected on the world, we realized that simply living where we live, is something we are extremely thankful for. Ontario does not seem to suffer (we don't want to jinx it) from catastrophic floods, hurricanes, drought, heat, and thrives in a functioning democracy. We also have access to some of the most beautiful landscapes in the world, only a short drive from our homes. Best of all, we can enjoy these places through different seasons, and thus have completely different experiences. We count our blessings for being located in Toronto, and in Ontario. It is not perfect, but it is pretty close. Lisa and Tom
There was so much to be thankful for in 2022, most importantly, family. This past Spring, my family went to Wisconsin to celebrate my cousin’s medical school graduation, which was so memorable. My stepson Lincoln got to meet my extended family for the first time. It was a special memory that I’m thankful to have. Mara
I am thankful for time with my family on the weekend and less time with them during work hours through the week. Thankful for Lego that develops creative-thinking, problem-solving skills and keeps them busy for hours. I’m also thankful for the adorable brother-and-sister relationship that William and Mackenzie continue to develop. Matt
I am grateful for travel coming back. I just returned from a phenomenal ten days in Europe – Spain and France, and feel completely re-energized and culturally enriched. After a brief stay in the Champagne region of France, I am also grateful for the wonderful bubbly that I’ll use to toast this Thanksgiving (no clinking!). Susy
What a blast summer of 2022 was! I am grateful for all the restaurants that survived the thick of the pandemic because I was able to enjoy all the different cuisines in the city again! Jennifer
