The Bloom is off the Rose

The markets enthusiasm for the Trump administration’s promise of lower taxes and regulations has run into a maelstrom of chaos. Between the on and off again tariff threats, foreign policy reversals, and DOGE’s “chainsaw” approach to Government spending, investors began to wake up to a new reality in the White House. Combine that with a few question marks about the future direction of AI and you had the began to see some uncertainty about the upward trajectory of U.S. stocks. Meanwhile, we have seen positive performance in those long, forgotten markets like Europe and the Emerging Markets.

While it feels like there has been tremendous damage to portfolios starting in February, and continuing into March, the year-to-date results show a modest negative performance. We continue to monitor the situation and have begun to shift our allocation to markets that have cheaper valuations and more economic upside.

My Family's Security

(Feature of the Month)

At the heart of planning for your family’s security lies a deep desire to protect what matters most, especially in the face of life’s unforeseen challenges.

We understand that securing your family’s future starts with a thoughtful, intentional approach. Our goal is to guide you (and your family) through the process of designing a plan that reflects your unique journey—one that carefully considers your personal wishes, your financial position and helps you feel fully prepared for what’s ahead.

Unlike others who offer one-size-fits-all solutions, we work with you to create tailored plans that truly reflect your family’s needs, providing peace of mind and confidence that your wishes will be understood. We take the time to talk through the things that often go unspoken, ensuring that you and your family are ready for whatever may come. With years of experience, we simplify complex decisions and offer a variety of options to ensure your future is well protected. It’s a practice that our team has been doing for many, many years.

As a part of our service, we’ve partnered with the Willing Wisdom platform—an incredible resource for clarifying and organizing your end-of-life decisions. Tools like the Willing Wisdom Index provide a clear, structured way to communicate your wishes to your loved ones, making sure that your plan aligns with what truly matters to you.

We’re thrilled to offer a copy of the Willing Wisdom book to the first 20 people who reach out (limited copies available). Please connect with our Team

We recommend reviewing your will and powers of attorney every three to five years to ensure that your plans stay aligned with life’s changes. Staying proactive and organized today ensures your family is secure, no matter what tomorrow holds.

T.A.G. Reads (...and Writes!)

It’s always a joy to share the books and podcasts that inspire us in this space. As a team of passionate readers—and yes, even writers ourselves—we find immense value in the stories and voices that shape our world.

With March Break in full swing and children taking up various different activities, we wanted to take a moment to highlight a special book that the little ones might enjoy, written by our very own Susy Fossati.

Take a ride on the manners train as we travel around the Zoo. We promise there are no bumps or impromptu stops (that wouldn't be polite!) Visit all your favourite animals and make learning manners along the way, as easy as A,B,C. The earlier you introduce manners to young children (and make it fun!), the more rooted these soft skills become as children grow up.

This adorable picture book is a wonderful tool for parents, grandparents and children to enjoy together from a very young age.

Easy rhymes help guide the story along and showcase how to make the world a nicer and more welcoming place.

•    Helps instill age-appropriate manners through fun pictures and rhymes
•    Helps build confidence and self-esteem
•    Increases self-respect, respect for others and respect for our communities
•    Demonstrates a win/win scenario that comes with kindness and consideration of others
•    Helps build a foundation of timeless and lifelong social skills
