Adam Slumskie, CIM
Adam is a Senior Wealth Advisor and Portfolio Manager with the Intrinsic Financial Group. He is responsible for the management of the team’s discretionary portfolios, along with individual client and corporate accounts. He takes pride in not only building wealth for our clients, but ensuring they have a plan in place to enjoy it.
Adam began his career with CIBC Private Wealth in 2008. Adam holds the Chartered Investment Manager designation from the Canadian Securities Institute, along with an Honours Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a major in Corporate Finance from Wilfrid Laurier University.
Adam believes in the importance of providing all children with the tools they need to succeed in life, and is an annual supporter of the Easter Seals Telethon among many other children’s charities. He is also very passionate about being involved locally and is a proud contributor to Village Media's Random Acts of Kindness program and to the Sault Area Hospital Foundation. He enjoys travelling and spending summers at his family cottage with his wife, Marla, and their two children, Grace and Leo.
Greg is a veteran in the investment industry and has been with CIBC since the onset of his career spanning over 35 years. His planning, logical thinking skills, and in-depth knowledge of the various market cycles help guide the direction and overall strategy of client portfolios. Greg has extensive experience in the capital market and debt financing side of the advisory business, which is a major asset to our clients. He takes great pride in the performance of each client’s portfolio and is always available to discuss their investment strategy and provide his views on the market. Greg obtained a Bachelor of Science degree majoring in Finance and Economics from Lake Superior State University.
In his down time, he enjoys spending time at his cottage with family and friends.
Jessica Casola, CIM®, CFP®
Jessica specializes in putting together financial plans for our clients, as well as conducting investment research and portfolio management. She works closely with Adam and Greg to ensure our portfolios contain the best investments, and creates detailed plans so that our clients can have peace of mind knowing that they can achieve their financial goals. Jessica will take the time to understand what is important to you, and build a personal connection that goes beyond analyzing the numbers.
She has been in the financial industry since 2011 and joined the Intrinsic Financial Group in 2017. She holds the Chartered Investment Manager (CIM ®) designation as well as the Certified Financial Planner (CFP ®) designation, and has an in-depth knowledge on a range of financial topics. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from the University of Waterloo.
Jessica was born and raised in Sault Ste. Marie and has a strong sense of loyalty to her community. She has a competitive drive and loves to be active, so when she is not at the office, you will find her on a hockey rink or soccer field. She also enjoys a cozy night at camp with her husband or having a glass of Merlot with friends.
Andrew joined the Intrinsic Financial Group in 2020. His background includes over 5 years as a payroll administrator and accounting assistant for a large local manufacturing company. Prior to this, Andrew completed his Bachelor of Commerce Degree from the University of Ottawa with a Specialization in Finance. He has long term aspirations in wealth management and a passion for the industry. He is responsible for client services, investment research and trading, along with analysis of client portfolios. Andrew’s attention to detail and dedication to providing exceptional service are a major asset to our clients and our team.
Outside the office, he enjoys playing hockey and baseball, traveling, sampling different food and wines, and spending time with his wife, Tiana.
Nancy joined the Intrinsic Financial Group in 2018. Nancy has been in the financial industry since 2012, with experience working for a major accounting firm prior to that. She brings to the team an exceptional understanding of high-level client servicing and organizational skills with a keen eye for detail. Nancy is one of the initial contact points in the office, with responsibilities ranging from updating and preparing client documents, preparing tax and fee-based packages for clients, facilitating contributions, fund transfers and general client requests. She is here to help you with all your administrative needs. Nancy holds a bachelor’s degree in Administrative Studies, from Nipissing University, and has completed her Canadian Securities Course.
In her spare time, Nancy enjoys spending time outside with her family and Boston Terrier, Gilmour. You can find her at the baseball field, volleyball court, or running around Bellevue Park with her husband and daughter.
Lily joined the Intrinsic Financial Group in 2022. She comes to the team with 4 years of experience in the financial industry. While working within the industry she has gained a wide variety of skills and knowledge in many different aspects, including mortgages and other lending products.
Lily has a passion for helping people and will display this through providing exceptional client services and ensuring clients needs are met in a timely and efficient manner. She will be one of the first point of contacts in the office and will complete a range of administrative tasks. Her dedication and loyalty will aid her in making meaningful client connections.
When out of the office she spends most of her time outdoors or camping with her husband and dog, Mabel. Spending quality time with family and friends is very important to her as well.
Alanis joined the Intrinsic Financial Group in 2022. Previously, she worked as an insolvency administrator for a large accounting firm for 4 years. She holds a diploma in both the Office Administration – Executive program and the Business – Accounting program from Sault College.
Alanis brings to the team her organization skills, strong work ethic and compassion for others. Her commitment, dedication, positive attitude and analytical skills will provide new opportunities to learn and grow professionally.
When Alanis is not working, she enjoys being active outdoors and spending time at camp with her husband.
