The Lam Shum Financial Group is a long time supporter of The Salvation Army Belkin House. In addition to providing financial support, we also provide support by volunteering our time to prepare and cook food for the residents there.
More about the The Salvation Army Belkin Communities of Hope, they strive to be a safe space for healing, support and transformation. They serve a diverse population, meeting many from all walks of life. In times of unimaginable hardships, susceptibility to losing hope and feeling despair is incredibly pervasive, especially for those without a community of support. Their goal is to empower those who are wrestling with hopelessness—to support the rebuilding of their lives in a community that is grounded in hope, faith and compassion.
The Lam Shum Financial Group is an avid supporter of the Vancouver Canadians Baseball Foundation (VCBF) which has one simple goal; to help as many local youth find self-confidence, hope, improved health, and a skill set that will help not just on a baseball diamond, but in life. The vision of providing underprivileged youth with an opportunity to play baseball has grown into much more, as the VCBF has already begun the process of helping local children grow into student/athletes who can now focus on succeeding instead of concerning themselves with elements that are usually out of their control.

Help Change My City Alliance is a registered not-for-profit organization whose overarching mandate is tailored towards building an inclusive platform, which youth and young people can be a part of. Partnering with career people, corporate socially responsible businesses and community volunteers, we teach personal development and skills training to at risk and marginalized youth. We are creating an environment and community intentionally designed with mentorship, personal development, personal growth, leadership and skills training at its core. Our dedication is to break down the negative reputation and stigma that surrounds youth and young people who have had a difficult and troubled past. As they spend time with us, we show the young people that they are valuable, loved, cared for, part of community and have great potential to positively impact their future and the community they live in.
