Angelo D'Amico
Over the past 25 years, Angelo has been a trusted Investment Advisor to affluent families, corporations and foundations, creating customized investment strategies. He aims to understand the clients' complete financial situation and takes a holistic approach to wealth management.
As a Portfolio Manager and Senior Investment Advisor at CIBC Wood Gundy, Angelo leads a highly talented team of professionals and is responsible for over $1.5 billion in investment assets. For the majority of our clients, the primary investment goals are to preserve capital and provide predictable growth, while generating tax friendly income as needed. When constructing personally designed portfolios, the client's time horizon and risk tolerance are always taken into consideration.
Angelo and his team strive to provide exceptional service and are supported by CIBC specialists with expertise in other aspects of wealth management, including Estate Planning, Business Succession Planning, and Charitable Giving, to name a few.
Todd D'Amico
Despite his last name, Todd is not related to Angelo (except through their mutual love of cars). Todd is fluent in French, with strong analytical skills and an enthusiasm for research. He assists Angelo with the development of investment portfolios for discretionary clients, executes block trades, completes a quarterly review of accounts and rebalances them as required. Todd also takes part in client review meetings with Angelo and Steve.
Todd holds an MBA in Finance from the DeGroote School of Business at McMaster University, the Charted Financial Analyst designation, and is registered with CIRO for options and derivatives trading. Prior to joining the team in 2016, Todd was Associate Portfolio Manager at a boutique investment firm, where he was heavily involved with derivatives strategies, equity portfolios and equity options.
Caroline Bannayan
Caroline leads the administrative hub and supports Angelo and the team in building one-on-one relationships with clients and their family members. These relationships are based on trust, communication and a detailed understanding of their needs.
Caroline has completed the Canadian Securities, the Conduct and Practices Handbook, the Wealth Management Essentials and the Derivatives Fundamentals and Option Licensing Courses with the Canadian Securities Institute.
Prior to joining Angelo in 2013, Caroline gained experience as Manager of Client Service at Broadridge Canada.
Steve Pama
Steve met Angelo in 2004 and has been an integral part of the D’Amico Wealth Management Group ever since. He performs client reviews and assists Angelo in providing comprehensive service to clients.
Steve has completed the Canadian Securities, Conduct and Practices Handbook, Wealth Management Essentials and the Derivatives Fundamentals and Options Licensing courses with the Canadian Securities Institute.
Anthony Baranello
Anthony comes from the commercial banking industry and worked as a Relationship Manager for 7 years. Anthony was the primary point of contact for business owners in the mid-market space and worked on progressively more complex loan structures. In the latter part of his career in commercial banking Anthony was an inaugural member of an Income Property Finance team where he worked exclusively with large commercial real estate investors and developed his expertise as an evaluator and lender for commercial real estate. Anthony’s professional accomplishments and recognitions are the result of excellent interpersonal skills and a “can-do” winning attitude and mindset. He transitioned to the Wealth Management industry in 2021 and holds an MBA from Queens University.
Cassandra Arjune
Cassandra also joined the team on the administrative side in 2021. She brings great experience from the world of Private Banking to her service and support of clients.
Sandra Pistilli
Sandra joined the team at CIBC Wood Gundy to assist Caroline and Cassandra in providing exceptional service to clients.

Trevor Gough
Managing Director & Head, CIBC Mid-Market Investment Banking
Trevor has over 20 years of mid-market mergers & acquisition ("M&A") experience. His expertise is in the sale of privately-owned companies. Trevor has worked on behalf of many business owners to find strategic buyers or equity investors and negotiated the sale of all or a portion of the company.
These transactions have covered a wide range of sectors and industries including Manufacturing (equipment, consumer goods, concrete, food processing), Business Services (healthcare, equipment rental, telecom, testing/inspection, certification, transportation and logistics), Distribution (capital equipment, steel and fuel) and Technology (software).
Prior to joining CIBC in 2002, Trevor worked for 12 years with the corporate finance and audit groups of an international accounting and consulting firm in Canada and the U.K. and is a Chartered Accountant.
Ian de Verteuil
Managing Director and Head of Portfolio Strategy, Quantitative and Technical Research
Ian de Verteuil has close to 30 years of experience on the buy- and sell-side of the investment business. He started with a Canadian equities and debt securities dealer in 1987, and over his career as an equity analyst covered a variety of sectors.
Based on external surveys, Ian ranked as Canada's best analyst in Banking, Insurance, Consumer Products, Breweries and Distilleries at various times over a 20-year period.
Ian holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from McGill University and an MBA from Western University.
