Building Relationships
I am passionate about helping women invest with confidence and take charge of their financial futures, regardless of their stage in life. As a successful investment advisor and mother of four, I understand the challenges that come with raising a family, and balancing relationships, community and career. I deeply enjoy the relationships that I have developed with the amazing women who I am fortunate to work with, whether they are professional career women and entrepreneurs, retired widows or recently divorced, we can all learn from one another and grow through our experiences.
Gaining Knowledge
Today women are leading Fortune 500 corporations, winning top political posts and enjoying more career choices than ever before. By 2030, women will control two-thirds of the wealth in North America, as result of increasing financial success, combined with trillions of dollars of generational and spousal transfers and inheritance.
In a recent Gallup Poll, women were asked the following question: What is the biggest challenge that you personally face in your life today? Women ranked financial issues as their top concern – ahead of family, health, time management, stress and job and career worries.
Learning to understand the value of money and investing is a basic life skill that everyone should learn, but many people get through high school, university and into our careers without really receiving adequate education in this area. Over the years I have also realized that women feel more open asking another female for advice when they don't know something. I feel passionate that women need and deserve the confidence that comes with gaining financial knowledge and experience, and knowing that they are making smart financial decisions for their own successful tomorrow.

Women Have Different Financial Needs Than Men
Studies have shown that there are several differences between men and women that may impact the financial security of women:
-
Women struggle to balance the demands of career and motherhood
-
Women often have shorter working careers and lower lifetime earnings than men
-
Women are less likely to have employer-funded retirement plans
-
Women are less likely to have had active experience in the household financial and investment decision-making than men
-
Women experience greater financial losses following divorce
-
Women are more likely to be widowed than men
-
Women generally have a lower tolerance for risk
The combination of these facts calls for special financial planning needs for women to become more knowledgeable, more experienced, more self-confident and ultimately, more successful with their financial decisions.
