We pride ourselves in providing exemplary, personalized and friendly service. Our Service Team ensures the smooth day-to-day operation of accounts, including: (1) deposits / withdrawals, (2) contributions to RSPs, TFSAs, RESPs and RDSPs, (3) account transfers (consolidating assets from other firms), (4) setting up online access & password resets, (5) the administration of educational and disability savings plans (application for government grants and submitting forms for withdrawals), (6) charitable donations (the tax advantage gifting of stock to charities), (7) the administration of estates, (8) assisting the Advisors in the preparation of reviews & recommendations, (9)  working with client’s accountants to provide tax forms and information, and (10 cash management and trade execution.

Ashley Harbar

Ashley has been in the financial industry for over 12 years.  She joined our Team after previously working with CIBC Retail Banking and in CIBC Wood Gundy Operations.  Ashley is focused on managing our operations as our Service Team’s leader, but also recently completed her Canadian Securities Course (CSC).

 

Ashley enjoys the outdoors (camping, hiking, cycling, etc.) and loves to travel. Her travels have taken her to the Northwest Territories, Europe, Southeast Asia and the Middle East. 

 

Caitlin Roch

Caitlin has been in the financial industry for over 7 years.  She graduated from the University of Victoria with a Bachelor of Commerce degree and is a registered Client Associate, having completed her Canadian Securities Course (CSC).  In addition to her administrative responsibilities, Caitlin is invaluable at tax time having worked at several accounting positions during her co-op terms at UVic.

In her spare time, Caitlin enjoys exploring the island, playing rec volleyball and trying different foods while travelling.

 

Sonja Morris

Sonja has been in the financial industry for over 10 years.  Sonja’s primary responsibility is account documentation, including:  opening new accounts, updating existing account information (beneficiaries, etc.) and RSP conversions to RIFs.  Sonja also handles all of our estate administration, helping families during emotional times. 

Sonja was born in South Africa and has an education in journalism. She has lived in Canada for over 20 years and has two adult children. Sonja is an animal lover and has earned competitive obedience championships with her golden retrievers and also teaches dog obedience classes. Sonja has traveled across Europe and would like to spend more time visiting other countries.

 

Alex Emery

Alex is the youngest member of our Team.  He joined us in 2023 from CIBC Retail Banking.  Alex works with Ashley and Caitlin in the administration of accounts and in the preparation of financial / portfolio reviews.  He also maintains and updates our Team’s research database. 

Alex spent the first 10 years of his life in Japan and speaks Japanese.  He enjoys playing football (soccer), rock climbing, reading and spending time at art galleries.
