Charles has over 30 years of experience in the financial service industry. He currently leads CIBC Private Wealth Management and Wood Gundy’s operations for the Quebec Region.

He’s responsible for building and implementing strategies to better meet the needs of wealthy individuals and families. Under his leadership, teams of advisors strive to deliver tailored and integrated wealth planning solutions to high-net-worth clients. This includes intergenerational wealth transfers, cash management, credit and investment solutions, trust services, estate and financial planning. Charles focuses his advisory teams on developing relationships with internal partners to cover all client needs.

Charles previously worked as Executive Director, Quebec Region at CIBC Wood Gundy, as well as Branch Manager of the Ville Marie branch and sub-branches (Sherbrooke and Joliette).

He holds a master’s degree in Administrative Science from Université de Sherbrooke and a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Université de Laval. He also holds an insurance license from the Autorité des marchés financiers. Charles is greatly involved in the industry, including the Canadian Investment Regulatory Organization (CIRO) for more than 8 years. He was the Chairman of the Quebec District Council for two years.

Charles lives in Montreal, where he supports a number of charities, such as Fondation Charles Bruneau, whose mission is to give children with cancer the best chances of recovery by financing research and projects, and Fondation Gemini, whose mandate is to help families in need to give newborns and their parents a better head-start.

Valerie is someone who enjoys listening to others, which lead her to complete a Bachelors in Psychology and Sociology from l’Université de Montréal, as well as a Certificate in Human Resources Management from McGill University. Her experience working as an Investment Representative at CIBC Investor's Edge has given her the opportunity to be a quick thinker. She may not have the solutions to all the issues that she is presented with, but as an advocate of teamwork, she works with her colleagues Calvin and Tina to find the best possible resolution to any given problem. In addition, Valerie is responsible for the exchange and networking group of the young women assistants and associates of the branch for their career development.

Valerie loves the outdoors, as well as baking delicious sweets, but can no longer do so, because she has a sweet little boy to take care of, who craves all of her attention!

With 15 years of experience in the financial services industry, Hugh has consistently prioritized clients’ needs, ensuring that exceptional service remains at the forefront of every initiative. Demonstrating a proven ability to navigate complex problem-solving scenarios, he is adept at identifying and addressing underlying systemic issues to deliver optimal outcomes. His extensive project experience encompasses both leadership and individual contributor roles, always guided by a commitment to exceeding client expectations and fostering a culture of excellence throughout his teams.
