Julie Viglasky, BA, CIM, FCSI
Senior Portfolio Manager
Investment Advisor
Since 1991, I have been helping individuals identify and reach their financial goals. This has allowed me to hone my unique approach to successful long-term conservative wealth creation and preservation. My loyal clients know that their financial affairs are handled with the utmost competency and care.
I attained an Honours BA from the University of Toronto and I am a fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute (FCSI). Additional designations include the Certified Financial Planner (CFP), Canadian Investment Manager (CIM), the Partners, Directors and Officers (PDO), and Level II Life Insurance and Life Underwriters certification.
Specialized Advice
I am specially qualified to offer support and guidance for clients working through divorce, separation or the death of a loved one, having received the certificate from The Academy of Financial Divorce Specialists (FDS).
It is a passion of mine to help and advise women navigating through life changes, especially those who need financial education, planning and ongoing support. That is why, after realizing that there were very few resources in the financial world to assist women in these situations, I went back to school to increase my expertise in this area.
I am regularly interviewed on the topic of providing assistance to women going through significant financial changes, and the top pitfalls that they need to watch out for when reorganizing their financial affairs, once they're on their own.
I was both honoured and excited when CIBC asked me to be the featured speaker at our International Women’s Day virtual event this year. I take great pride in the work that I have done, helping people to become educated, confident and successful investors, and watching them achieve their financial goals. It feels very satisfying to have my work recognized and to be able to share the passion that I have for helping women to empower themselves financially.
The attached link to the Investing With Confidence: Your Path To Achieving Financial Independence interview has had tens of thousands of views and was recommended as a “must watch” video, by the CIBC Women’s Network.

My advice about taking control of your wealth and creating a personalized financial plan is certainly not exclusive to women – please share this link with anyone who might benefit from some guidance with their financial strategy. Specifically, those who may gain the most value include friends and family who have been recently widowed, experienced divorce, or who may have received an inheritance that requires some careful and well-thought-out planning.
I was also featured in the national financial industry magazine "Advisor's Edge."

We probably all know women who are going through difficult times, but who don't want to ask for help. If you know someone who is struggling and might need financial advice, please pass along my name for a complementary confidential discussion.
Living in Toronto and leading a very active home life with my four sons. I enjoy art, music, new technology, baking, yoga, and spending time with friends and family. I also work in a volunteer capacity for several organizations and have been the Financial Editor at Woman Newsmagazine.
