What is CIBC Run For the Cure?
CIBC Run for the Cure is an annual fundraising event organized in partnership with the Canadian Cancer Society. It is Canada’s largest single-day, volunteer-led event in support of the breast cancer cause. Participants across the country walk or run to raise funds and awareness for breast cancer research, support services, and advocacy.
Total Funds Raised Since its inception in 1992, the CIBC Run for the Cure has raised over $500 million to support breast cancer research and programs in Canada.
How do we participate?
The Kirkby Wealth Advisory Group is proud to live and work in communities that we deeply care about. Giving back is at the heart of what we do, and one of the ways we show our commitment is by participating in the CIBC Run For The Cure each year.
Since 2009, our branch has raised nearly $180,000 in support of cancer research, education, and awareness. For the third consecutive year, we are honored to be recognized as the top fundraiser for the Abbotsford run - a testament to the generosity and support of our incredible friends, colleagues, and clients.
2025 update: Steve and the Kirkby Group raised $17,133 bringing our Abbotsford Branch total to: $20,834. CIBC raised over $18 million nationwide, with more than $1.1 million raised in our local Vancouver area.
