Cam Kirkby: "We would like to welcome you all here today and thank you for the efforts you made to get here."
[00:03] Guests smile and laugh together. Cam Kirkby chats and smiles with an attendee in a tan sweater near a decorated pillar.
Cam Kirkby: "Each year, we like to express our gratitude for each and every one of you..."
[00:05] A hand uses silver tongs to select a piece of cheese from a lavish charcuterie display featuring various meats, grapes, and crackers on a rustic wooden board.
Cam Kirkby: "...to have worked with you and become friends with you throughout the year."
[00:06] Two large wooden wine barrels sit nestled among lush tropical greenery and indoor plants. Nearby, a stone fountain sprays water into a pond where a large orange koi fish swims.
[00:08] Cam Kirkby stands with a group of three guests, posing for a photo in front of a purple event banner.
Cam Kirkby: "Tonight, back by popular demand for the third time..."
[00:10] A long table is covered in an array of appetizers, including olives, stuffed pastries, sliced meats, and dips. Guests are seen in the background filling their plates.
Cam Kirkby: "...we have Canadian tenor, Mr. Ken Lavigne."
[00:14] A wide view of the venue reveals a large, bright greenhouse-style room. Dozens of guests are seated at round tables with black linens, applauding as the performance begins.
[00:16] Ken Lavigne, dressed in a dark suit with a red and silver striped tie, stands at the front of the room. He begins to sing into a microphone. Behind him, a double bassist plays a large wooden upright bass.
Ken Lavigne: (Singing) "I’ve heard there was a secret chord that David played, and it pleased the Lord."
[00:27] Ken gestures with his hand as he sings. The camera shows the other musicians: a pianist in a suit and glasses playing a keyboard, and a violinist with a beard playing his instrument.
Ken Lavigne: "But you don't really care for music, do ya? It goes like this: the fourth, the fifth, the minor fall, the major lift."
[00:41] The camera focuses on the food again, showing a tray of smoked salmon on cucumber slices, then moves back to the audience. Three guests are shown watching the performance with focused, appreciative expressions.
[00:48] Ken Lavigne raises his hands, singing with increasing power and emotion.
Ken Lavigne: "The baffled king composing Hallelujah."
[00:53] The entire room of guests stands up and breaks into loud applause and cheers. Ken Lavigne smiles at the crowd from the stage.
