Educating Clients about investments, opportunities and risks
Mindful of the client’s risk tolerance for investments and market fluctuations
Understanding family goals and objectives
Assisting clients with a financial plan and to constantly rework this plan to accommodate all life’s changes (marriage, children, death, illness, job loss etc.)
Assist in Prioritizing Financial Opportunities
Motivating Clients to make difficult decisions
Helping client’s visualize outcomes
Setting realistic goals
Keeping clients on task so their finances remain a priority
Providing an unbiased and fair view of their financial picture
Taking the emotion component out of the investing equation and talking to the clients about how to do this
Reassurance and support in dealing with difficult times personally and in the market
Regular semi-annual review meetings scheduled to fully analyze the accounts with the clients and make any necessary adjustments
Extra time spent with family members that may not be clients but will eventually be impacted by the portfolio responsibilities (i.e. Power of attorney responsibilities, Inheritance, Clients’ children to establish good financial life skills
Assessing Insurance needs (When additional coverage is needed, Life & Disability & Critical Illness and when are you over insured)
Assuring the client has an estate plan in place and that it will accomplish their goals to their heirs, business partners & charities.
Facilitating Business transitions as clients prepare to retire
Advising clients when it is time to have other professionals assist with their affairs due to complexity and needs; Accountants, Lawyers, Personal Bankers, Trustees, etc.
